Your cruise ship’s activities schedule can be overwhelming, but there are ways to keep track of what is happening while on board. First, know which shows and activities are available on any given day. Cruise ships often list these activities on their daily schedules in the morning, so you can plan ahead. Other activities may include art exhibits, trivia games, musical and theatrical productions, and guided children’s activities. Some cruise ships also offer spa services, but these activities are usually scheduled ahead of time.
Adults on board are not left out either. The Norwegian Joy and Bliss have a teen Solarium for adults. While this space isn’t as busy as the main pool area, it offers a quieter, more adult-oriented experience. You can even book an event for 18-and-over comedy nights to get your fill of funny stories. Also, some cruise lines feature a game show that caters to adults called The Quest, which is a fun scavenger hunt that’s suitable for anyone 18 and up.
Then, there’s the theater, where a Broadway-style show is presented each night. The ship’s theaters often feature a different main show each night, so it’s important to check the schedule to make sure you don’t miss anything. For a little rest and relaxation, the theaters also offer outdoor movie screenings. Princess Cruises and Carnival Cruise Line also offer these options, and if you’d like to enjoy a movie in the open air, you can even bring blankets and popcorn!
